Number of PCR Test by Sri Lanka is relatively less compared with some of other Asian Countries
Sri Lanka has conducted over 137,000 PCR tests. The country has been mainly concentrating on snow-ball sampling by identifying the hotspots or high-risk areas than depending on a simple random sampling. 6,400 PCR tests have been performed by Sri Lanka per 1 million population, while South Korea who held the election in April has conducted 28,700 tests per 1 M population. Vietnam which has not recorded any COVID19 death and contained the spreading of the virus has conducted 2,800 test per 1M population.
