The number of COVID-19 deaths globally surpassed 1 million
According to the Worldometer coronavirus dashboard, the number of COVID-19 deaths globally surpassed 1 million while The Johns Hopkins dashboard cited 997,000. The United States, with 209,453 deaths, leads while, Brazil takes second place with 141,776 deaths, followed by India, with 95,574 deaths, and Mexico, with 76,430 deaths. There have been more than 33 million confirmed cases of Covid-19 globally. Meanwhile, India continues to be the second worst-hit country with over 6 million confirmed cases against 7.3 million in the USA.
