Sri Lanka planing to achieve 20% annual growth of tourism inflow to reach Dollar 10 Bn by 2025
The growth of tourism inflow was around 20% from 2015 to 2016 period, but growth has fallen to 11% in 2018 in Sri Lanka. Tourist inflow to the country was $4.4Bn in 2018 and $ 3.6Bn in 2019. Based on the tourist arrivals, Sri Lanka and the Maldives operate similarly arrivals destination composition while Laos, Cambodia, Philippine which has a higher number of tourist arrivals have attracted more tourists within the Asian Pacific region.
