The composition of Tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka changed last year. From 2014 to 2018 the majority of international tourists' arrival recorded from Asia (43% to 45%), while Europe tourist arrivals were 39% to 41% for the same period. It has shifted towards Europe 46% to 38% despite easter attack targeted European travelers in April 2019. Studies have found that the economic growth of the region and the spending level of those tourists have a positive relationship. Tourist arrival, as well as the value of receipt by tourists and the number of days at a stay, will play a key role. The success of tourism will depend on the management of these dimensions together.
