Sri Lanka tourist arrivals up by 68% in October from September
Sri Lanka tourism industry brings over USD 4,000Mn foreign currency inflow annually. But it fell to USD 957Mn in 2020 and just 51Mn in 2021 (Sep). Sri Lanka attracts over 2.3mn foreign tourists annually who stay a little over 10days in the country. In October, 22,771 tourists have visited Sri Lanka. The total tourist arrivals recorded as 66,695 so far this year, out of which 30% are from India.
