Fuel price increase to put upward pressure on the 13 months long average 5 pct inflation in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has been managing year-on-year inflation of less than 5.0% for the last 13 months. Inflation related to food has been rising while massive money printing undermines the long-term monetary impact on inflation. Housing, Water, electricity, and fuel accounts 31.78% weight on the Colombo consumer price index, know as CCPI Inflation.
