Sri Lankan women spent more time on Socializing and religious activities than men
63.3% of the Sri Lankan women spent time on socializing and communication, community participation and religious practice activities while 48.6% of men engaged with such activities. Further, 60.8% of the men engaged in employment and related activities, only 27.7% of the Sri Lankan women engaged in employments. As expected 86.4% of women spent time on domestic services for household and family members. That would have been the key reason for lower employment engagement by Sri Lankan women.
