Community Mobility during and Social distancing in Sri Lanka
A report by Google on community mobility in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic shows that Sri Lankans are generally compliant to the movement control order. Public parks saw a decline of 57%, followed by grocery stores and pharmacies (87%) and workplaces (50%). Sri Lanka imposed School Closure on 13th March, Whole Country Curfew from 20th March after accepting Nomination for the Parliament election. Recreation activities were the first to respond and mobility trends for places like groceries, food warehouses, supermarkets, specialty food shops, drug stores, and pharmacies were the last to impact but severely.
