Sri Lanka increased the retainment age to 60 yrs for Men and Woman from the budget 2021.The official age of retirement is on the upwards in most countries as governments try to manage stretched state benefits. The effective age of retainment has been above 65yr globally, varying from 58 yrs to 67 yrs. Interestingly retirement age ash been slightly lower in several Asian countries compared with the rest of the world.
