The value of Sri Lanka Dollar Bond plunged further one month ahead of settlement
Sri Lanka expects to settle USD 1BN for a International bond maturing at the end of July. The yield of SRILAN 6.25% bond shoot over 60% in thin and illiquid trade at international exchange. Sri Lanka was unsuccessful to raise USD 100mn today at SLDB auction and fell short of USD 65Mn. But monetary authorities have reiterated their capability to settle the obligation.
