Sri Lanka Sovereign Bond yield plunged again ahead of settlement
Increase of default risk due to the limitation & ill liquidity of FX has errored the value of the Sri Lanka International Bonds. The country is expected to settle USD 1Bn at end of July. The deterioration of the value of the ISBs in the international market has sent warning signals to Local private banks that are holding the ISBs in their portfolio. CBSL data shows LCBs are holding USD 2.2Bn worth of ISBs end of 2020.
