Subscription to T-Bill auction fell short of LKR 43Bn despite rate increase
T-bill rate increased by 0.05% on average across all the maturities 91days,192days and 364days. The T-bill yield curve have elevated by on average 0.60% after the rate hike by CBSL. But CBSL managed to sell only 37% at the auction and investors are not attracted to buy 364Days T-bills at the current interest rate. This suggest further upward pressure on the interest rate.
