Pressure is looming once again on Sri Lanka ISBs that are maturing in 2022
The yields of the Sri Lanka ISBs maturing in Jan 2022 (USD 500Mn) and July 2022 (USD 1,000Mn) are rising once again as the country has yet to roll out a credible plan on explaining short-term strategies to mitigate the default risk. Newly appointed Central Bank Governor Mr. Nivard Cabraal is about to formulate a "To Do List", a short-term economic road map for next six month on 1st Oct 2021.
