The world’s largest economy is expected to rebounds strongly from the coronavirus crisis with the picking up of inflation in May. CPI figures are exceeded economists’ forecasts, which has brought up intense debate over the extent to which the American economy is in danger of overheating due to a mix of supply constraints and surging demand. Interestingly, The core CPI ,the underlying measure of inflation that strips out volatile items like food and energy rose 3.8% in May on an annual basis, the most since 1992, after a 3% rise in April.
